About The
 American Foundations Committee

U.S. Capitol - Washington, D.C.

The American Foundations Committee is an organization based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and exists to protect the foundations of American exceptionalism.

At no time in our nation's history has there been such widespread recklessness at every level of government as that which we see today. The AFC's aim is to work to reverse that trend, and restore America to a position of unrivaled leadership in the exercise of individual liberty, religious freedom, education, human productivity, economic development, international trade, humanitarianism, military strength, and all things which make this country of free citizens a "shining city on a hill" to freedom-loving people throughout the world.

You can be a part of the effort to change the course our nation is following toward social and economic failure. We invite you to join us as a supporter or volunteer as we seek to provide the public with accurate information on current issues, sound reasoning from great statesmen throughout history, and worthy solutions to many of the challenges we face today in every facet of life in America and in the world.

"A wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government, and this is necessary to close the circle of our felicities."   -- Thomas Jefferson

Our Task

We have a lot of hard work ahead of us. We must remain alert and aware of the growing threats to America's future. Your help is vital!

At times, many leaders in our government have ignored or rejected the Constitution of the United States, and those of the individual states, to once more attempt to implement the policies of societies past which came to ruin by those very policies. We must stop this abuse of power.
Throughout its history, the United States has been the most attractive nation in the world to those elsewhere who dreamed of freedom and unlimited opportunity to work hard and enjoy the fruit of one's labor. But, today our excessive government entitlements motivate many citizens and illegal residents alike to live off the 50% of Americans who pay income tax, as our national debt soars toward $15 trillion and politicians call for more taxes. We cannot allow this to continue, and expect to remain solvent.
America has always symbolized strength and freedom, but more and more we see legislation, judicial decisions, diplomatic policies and other powers weakening our nation and eroding our freedoms. We see personal property devalued, and sometimes confiscated. Businesses are stifled by taxes and regulation. Our own energy resources are placed out of reach, and public lands are hijacked for political gain. We must restore America to its original foundations.
